High School Students Earn CNA Certification Through Six-Week Summer Program

Eleven juniors and seniors recently participated in a six-week pilot program at Cooper High School to earn their Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification. They were interviewed and selected from a group of 30 applicants, and when these students earn their certification, they will be eligible for employment with Augustana Care.

Robbinsdale Area Schools to Ask Voters for Increased School Funding to Address Student Needs

Robbinsdale Area Schools Enrollment Center now open!

Robbinsdale Area Schools recently opened a new Enrollment Center, located in the district offices at 4148 Winnetka Ave. N., New Hope. The center provides a more family-friendly, efficient and cost-effective enrollment/intake process for new enrollment in Robbinsdale Area Schools. This drop-in center is open from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Hands-on science learning at this year's Camp STEMtastic!

Launching model rockets, making slime and learning about chemical reactions are just a few of the things Robbinsdale Area Schools students are doing during this year's Camp STEMtastic. The two-week camp at Meadow Lake Elementary School is giving 200 students in grades K-5 a chance to learn about science through hands-on activities focusing on science, technology, engineering and math concepts.

Summer Food Service Program (SFSP) now available

Robbinsdale Area School District is participating in the Summer Food Service Program (SFSP). Free meals will be made available to children 18 years of age and under and are the same for all children regardless of race, color, national origin, sex, age, or disability. Meals will be provided, on a first-come, first-serve basis.

RSIS K-3 Chess Team wins national championship

Robbinsdale Spanish Immersion School's K-3 Chess Team recently won a national championship at the National Elementary Chess Tournament in Nashville, Tennessee! More than 2,000 students participated in the event. The K-3 team,also won the state title for the second year in a row.

Cooper High School junior finds success on the stage

Cooper High School junior Trevor Hendrix has a big role in Stages Theater’s current production of “Beauty and the Beast Jr.” Hendrix, who says he grew up in “a very musically involved family,” first caught the acting bug after auditioning for a community theater musical in third grade. Since then, he has acted in five Stages Theater productions, in addition to taking the stage in productions at Robbinsdale Middle School and Cooper High School.
