ACT & SAT Prep Information


There are many avenues available to students as they prepare to take the ACT or SAT. This listing of prep options is a starting point for you. For more information, visit the Guidance section under the Academics tab.

  • The ACT Website offers free practice tests, test taking tips for the ACT, and gives a general description of each of the tests.  
  • The Preparation for ACT Booklet provides a paper practice test. This is available in the College & Career Center (Rm 211)
  • McGraw Hill provides free ACT practice tests and videos about the ACT.
  • For a fee, Kaplan Test Prep provides prep Courses for PSAT, ACT, or SAT. Options include classroom courses, online courses and private tutoring, and a new option called “ACT Express”.  ACT Express is a condensed, 12-hour course. Call 1-800-KAP-TEST for information on any of Kaplan’s test prep options.
  • There are several SAT websites which offer free practice tests, test taking tips for the SAT, and gives a general description of each of the tests. Visit either the College Board or Khan Academy website.         
  • The Advantage Test Prep program offers tests prep classes to students in the Twin Cities area. There is a cost for the class.
  • Learning Express offers test prep for ACT, AP Exams and SAT tests.
