Weekly Update

Update for the Week of October 15, 2018

  • Personal Project participants can register for an after-school work session, which will be held on Monday, October 22. This optional work session allows the student dedicated time to work on their project and an outlet to ask questions if they’re at a stumbling point. Encourage your student to take advantage of this opportunity
  • IB test registrations (for May testing) are being accepted now. The registration fee for each test is $47, and is due to the IB office (along with the registration form) by Friday, November 2. After November 2, the per test fee increases to $55.
  • Juniors and seniors who are part of our Diploma Programme participate in CAS (Creativity, Activity and Service). Students participate in experiences of their choice outside of the regular school day, and prepare reflections on what they’ve learned about themselves during the experience. These students are busy, and utilize the Hawk Lunch & Learn time to maintain their portfolio by completing reflections. If you know a Diploma candidate, ask them about their CAS journey.
  • The blog of the week highlights the CAS program our Diploma candidates are working on. Read here for an inspiring CAS experience of one CAS student. Enjoy the read!
