Holiday Food Programs

Offered throughout the metro area. Includes free meals and or food baskets. Please call United Way at 651.291.0211 to find the locations closest to you!


PRISM Toy Program

To qualify:

  • Your children must live in your home and you must verify children prior to registration (e.g., medical card, birth certificate, social security card, school record).
  • You must be a resident of Golden Valley, Robbinsdale, New Hope, Crystal, or Plymouth (east of 494) and show proof of residency (e.g, bill, ID). 
  • If you have not yet received PRISM services, you must meet with a Case Manager and complete an intake.

    To register:

  • You must register prior to the distribution event.
  • Registration is open November 14 - December 16.
  • Call 763.432.4204. Give your full name (please spell it out) and preferred phone number.

    Holiday Toy Shoppe Event:

    The event will take place on Saturday, December 17, from 9:00AM - 2:00PM, at Valley Community Presbyterian Church (3100 Lilac Drive North, Golden Valley, MN 55422). 


    Salvation Army Toy Shop

    Registration for the 2016 Twin Cities Toy Shop is now open. Please register online using our English form or Spanish form. (A Hmong form will be posted at a later date.) Online registration ends Friday, Dec. 2 at 4 p.m. (

  • Open to residents of the 10 county metro area only (Hennepin, Ramsey, Anoka, Dakota, Scott, Carver, Washington, Chisago, Wright and Sherburne Counties)
  • Serves only children 0-14
  • Parents must provide required documentation (see below)

    Parents may only register children of whom they have custody and must show:

  • Proof of address (bring a current piece of mail)
  • Picture ID for the adult picking up toys
  • ID for each child in the household (ex. medical card, birth certificate, school ID, social security card, etc.).


    CEAP Toys of Joy Program

    Children up to 15 years old living in Brooklyn Center, Brooklyn Park, and Champlin (east of 169)

    Register at CEAP Brooklyn Center office on the North West Family Center Corner Dec 6 and Dec 8; 9a-12p and 1p-3p, and Dec 7 9am-12p, 1p-3p, 4p-6p

    Must bring the following for registration:

  • Proof of address (bring a current piece of mail)
  • Picture ID for the adult picking up toys
  • ID for each child in the household (ex. medical card, birth certificate, social security card, etc.).


North Point Health and Wellness Toys for Tots Programs

- Eligibility:  Families with children ages birth – 14, Serves: Residents of North Minneapolis, primarily within the City of Minneapolis in the 55411, 55412 and 55430 zip codes
- Registration:  Clients register via walk-in during food shelf hours in the month of November; Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 9 am - 2:45 pm, and Wednesday 11 am - 5:45 pm.  Registration is limited and may fill by the end of November
- Documents:  Photo ID and piece of mail with proof of residence in the service area; ID for each child 
- Distribution:  Distribution arranged at registration
- Description:  Holiday toy distribution program
