Basketball - Boys

It is the mission of Cooper Boys Basketball Program to educate and empower young men with confidence, commitment and integrity, so they can live a productive and successful tomorrow. Our goal is to teach young athletes to respect themselves, their family, their peers and their community.

It is my belief that basketball begins, continues, and ends with the players. Basketball is for the participants and it is they who should receive the benefits. Therefore, everything we do is with the players in mind. We put all our efforts and energy into making the game of basketball a meaningful experience. Commitment starts in the classroom. Class attendance and promptness, along with academic responsibility are not asked, they are demanded.

Commitment shows your competitive spirit. A true competitor will do his best in everything that he attempts; conversely, there is a high correlation between a player’s effort in the classroom and on the basketball court. As a result, we form a perspective between academics and athletics. We believe in our team members as being students first and athletes second.
