August 2019

Dear Cooper Parents and Guardians,

Soon we will be welcoming your child back to school to begin the 2019-20 school year. We are excited to meet our new students as well as our returning students to Cooper High School.

GREAT NEWS. In 2019, over 350 of our students at Cooper took exams that could earn them college credit through classes they took right here at Cooper. This included almost 250 International Baccalaureate (IB) which is our signature program here at Cooper. Students also took exams from classes in Advanced Placement (AP) and Project Lead the Way (PLTW), which is our STEM program.

BUT THAT IS NOT ALL.  Cooper was ranked 27th in Minnesota by the Washington Post’s Most Challenging High Schools list. Cooper was also nationally ranked by US News as 240 out of the top 500 schools that were identified as Beating the Odds high schools and 7th out of the 18 high schools that were ranked in MN.

Please read the many enclosures included in this mailing.  This will help you and your student experience a smooth start to the 2019-2020 school year. You can link directly to the Back to School Mailing Documents by clicking HERE.
