Host Families Needed for Exchange Students

Host Families Needed for Exchange Students

International ExperienceGreetings Cooper families!

The deadline for placing this year's exchange students is almost here, and International Experience (iE) still has some really great kids waiting for their chance to join our community. If you or anyone you know is even a little bit curious about what it's like to host an exchange student, please don't wait to get in touch with iE!

Exchange students make a wonderful addition not just to our school and community, but to the families that host them. Host families come in all shapes and sizes. Some have teenagers, young children, or no children. They are empty nesters, single adults or same-sex parents. What's most important to iE is that the host parent(s) is/are 25 years old or older, is able to accomodate caring for an additional person in their home, and they are committed to providing a safe and supportive home environment for the exchange student.

Exchange students will have their own insurance and approximately $250 per month to cover their own personal expenses (school supplies and fees, activities with friends, personal items, etc.) Host families are not obliged to cover incidental costs for their student.
