Weekly Update

Update for the Weeks of October 21 and 28, 2019

  • Tenth grade students are currently working on their Personal Project, which will be due to their supervisor in February. Supervisor meetings are happening this month, and will continue on through the fall. If students have questions relating to the Personal Project, they can contact their supervisor, or stop in to the IB office (Room 232 in the Student Services Center).  All tenth-grade students are expected to complete this project, which will earn them an elective credit.
  • The week of October 7, students in AP Biology, Human Geography or US History received their registration information. The registration fee for each test is $50, and is due to the IB office (along with the registration form) by Monday, November 4. After November 4, the per test fee increases to $90.
  • The week of October 7, juniors and seniors who are eligible to take IB tests next May received their registration information. The registration fee for each test is $50, and is due to the IB office (along with the registration form) by Monday, November 4. After November 4, the per test fee increases to $90.
  • One of the tenets of the IB philosophy is being a world citizen and the requirement of learning a second language. Here at Cooper, students can choose between French or Spanish. The blog of the week highlights one student’s opinion of why this is a good thing. Enjoy the read!
