Pinning Ceremony for CNA and EMR

Pinning Ceremony for CNA and EMR

Cooper recently recognized two groups of students completing their coursework and celebrating with their official Pinning Ceremonies.

Nine Cooper students completed their coursework for the Fall Semester in EMR Skills and CPR training. Through this course, they gained the knowledge and skills needed for an Emergency Medical Responder to manage patient care at the scene of a medical or trauma emergency until ambulance personnel arrive. We're proud of these students for stepping up and learning how to save lives. Five of these students will be continuing their work in this field as they move on to EMT next semester.

EMR Graduates 2026 Pinning Ceremony

Thirty-two students from Armstrong and Cooper High Schools were recently celebrated at the Fall Semester CNA Pinning Ceremony held at Hennepin Technical College in Brooklyn Park, MN.

A CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) pinning ceremony is a symbolic celebration marking the completion of training and initiation into the nursing profession, where students receive a pin from faculty to signify their achievement, often accompanied by taking the Nightingale Pledge to commit to compassionate care, and it's a personally meaningful tradition distinct from graduation. It honors the hard work of students, faculty, and supporters, bridging academics to their healthcare careers.
