Cooper and Armstrong receive grant for spoken word workshops

Two Rdale high schools have been awarded the NEA Foundation Envision Equity grant. Funds from the grant will be used to hire professional spoken word poets to facilitate after-school, spoken word workshops for students, with plans to host a poetry slam between the two schools.  

The high schools will partner with COMPAS, a creative arts education organization based in St. Paul, to provide this opportunity for students to learn, collaborate, and amplify their voices.
