New COVID-19 Rapid Testing site opens in Brooklyn Park

A new COVID-19 rapid testing site opened Friday, Oct. 22, at the Starlite Center, 8085 Brooklyn Blvd., in Brooklyn Park.

This new site, in the former Office Max building next to the Panda Garden Buffet, offers free testing for people experiencing symptoms of COVID-19. It is open weekdays, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., and on weekends, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Test results will be available in 1-3 hours. No appointment is necessary.

Other ways to get a COVID-19 test:

  • COVID-19 tests are available at our schools. Ask your school’s nurse for a take home testing kit.

  • Walk in or schedule an appointment for a test at one of the state’s free rapid and/or saliva community testing sites across Minnesota: COVID-19 Community Testing Sites.

  • Order a test through the state’s free at-home COVID-19 testing program: COVID-19 Test at Home.

  • Find a testing option near you through the state’s Find Testing Locations map: Find Testing Locations.

How to get a free COVID-19 vaccine shot:

  • Walk in or make an appointment through the Vaccine Connector: VaccineConnector.mn.gov. Use the state’s Vaccine Locator Map to find a vaccine provider near you: Find Vaccine Locations.

  • Check for vaccine appointments using the Vaccine Finder on Find a COVID-19 vaccine near you. You can search for appointments by vaccine type (e.g., Pfizer).

  • Contact your primary health care provider or a local pharmacy.
