Schedule change: Asynchronous learning on Nov. 4 for secondary students

Schedule change: Asynchronous learning on Nov. 4 for secondary students

There is a schedule change for our secondary students in grades six through 12. Tuesday, Nov. 4, 2025, has been changed from a no school day to an asynchronous learning day for all middle school and high school students.

Reason for the change

Election Day, observed across the nation this year on Nov. 4, has historically been a non-school day in Rdale and a professional development day for staff. This year, we are adjusting that day to ensure our secondary students—especially our seniors—meet the state’s required number of instructional hours for the school year. With staggered start dates, seniors finishing the year a few days early for graduation, and the potential for weather-related closures, this change helps guarantee that students receive as much educational time as possible.

Teachers will have e-learning lessons posted to Schoology by 9 a.m. on Nov. 4. Students and families should follow the steps as laid out in the 6-12 (Secondary) Plan of the Rdale School Board-approved e-Learning Plan

This change does not impact elementary or Early Learning students or families. Their schedules will remain as planned.

We recognize this is a change in the posted calendar and are thankful we can provide this learning opportunity. Students will be receiving additional information as we get closer to Nov. 4.  We appreciate your continued support and partnership with Robbinsdale Area Schools.
