Two Cooper Students named Top 20 Winners in BestPrep Competition
On February 12, Cooper High School Achievement Via Individual Determination (AVID) sophomores Cody Morehouse and Peter Ochieng were honored as top 20 winners in the BestPrep Student Spotlight Competition at the BestPrep Education Forum.
As part of the competition, students were challenged to imagine having access to a generative AI tool capable of creating stunning images, videos, music, and text. They were asked to present their thoughts using essays, poetry, art, sculpture, or video, to address the pros and cons of using AI.
There were more than 180 submissions from across the state, including 65 from Cooper AVID sophomores. As a thank you for the high number of quality submissions, Cooper AVID was invited to bring additional students to the event. The forum featured a presentation from R. David Edelman, who inspired the prompt, in addition to the awards ceremony and dinner.
