Nutrition Services

Beginning Nov. 16, changes to FREE breakfast and lunch meal bundle distribution

As the weather changes so are our meal distribution sites!  Our Nutrition Services staff will be moving inside to serve our families - with more options to pick up a seven-day meal bundle.  Now you can come see us Monday through Friday between 9:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. for a seven-day meal bundle.

Simply park your vehicle, put on a face covering and walk up to the door with signage, let staff know how many in your household 18 and under, and we’ll set you up with meal bundles. And we’ll still offer evening pick ups at Sandburg Middle School and Robbinsdale Middle School for those families who can’t pick up during the day.  For information on how to heat and prepare items in your meal bundle, head to bit.ly/RdaleHeatingInfo.

Nutrition Services is able to serve anyone, 18 and under, with our free seven-day meal bundles during Distance Learning PLUS per the USDA announcement that meals are free through June 31, 2020.  Menus are available at rdale.nutrislice.com

Despite meals being free through June 30, 2021, it is still very important all families fill out an application for educational benefits.  Qualifying for educational benefits means a student(s) will have access to free breakfast and lunch, reduced fees for activities and provides critical funding for the district and schools.

Lunch Room Recipes You Can Make at Home

Robbinsdale Nutrition Services has been working hard to come up with new, updated recipes. We firmly believe healthy eating patterns are essential for students to do well in school, enjoy the time they spend with their friends and family, and fully develop mentally and physically. Furthermore, these habits have been linked to reduced risk for mortality and prevention of future chronic diseases.

Robbinsdale Nutrition Services lunch menus offer kids a wide variety of foods that are both nutritious and delicious. Cooking new recipes is a fun and engaging activity that can be enjoyed at home!
