Weekly Update

Update for the Weeks of March 2 and 9, 2020

  • There is still time for sophomore students who are interested in pursuing the IB Diploma Programme during their junior/senior year to schedule a meeting with IB staff to discuss what their schedule would look like. Please stop in to the IB office to schedule a time.
  • For juniors and seniors students in IB Diploma level testing classes, we’re in the season of Internal Assessments (IAs). These assignments are part of the course curriculum, but are graded as part of their overall test grade for college credit. If your student has signed up to take the IB test in May, they must complete the IA to be eligible to test. Some courses require the completion of the IA whether the student is testing or not.
  • If you have a student that will be testing in May, please mark your calendar for the annual Wish ‘Em Well Breakfast. For IB testers (juniors or seniors), this will be held on Wednesday, April 29 at 7:15 a.m. For AP testers (typically 9th or 10th grade), this will occur on May 5 at 9 a.m.  Parents/guardians are encouraged to RSVP and attend. Registration details will be sent at a later date.
  • On March 4, we’ll celebrate with our February Students of the Month. Students were nominated for exhibiting characteristics of either the learner profile Risk-Taker or Knowledgeable (and for many students, both!). Congratulations to all students nominated!
