Weekly Update

Update for the Weeks of January 20 and 27, 2020

  • We’ve started meetings with sophomores who are interested in pursuing the IB Full Diploma Programme in their junior and senior year. If you want more information on the program, you’re invited to an information session during conferences on Thursday, February 6 at 7 p.m. in room 258 (in the music hallway). Come to find out more about this rigorous study program and whether it’s a good fit for your student.
  • We’ll be holding our 2nd Annual Night of Service on Thursday, January 23, from 5 - 7 p.m. at Cooper. Held in conjunction with other district IB schools, Lakeview Elementary and Robbinsdale Middle School, this is an opportunity for students and families to come together to make a larger impact on the community. While we encourage your attendance at the event, we are also looking for donations of the following, which can be brought to the front office or IB office at Cooper anytime prior to January 23: fleece; travel size toiletries (soap, shampoo, conditioner, lotions); deodorant, feminine hygiene products, travel size tissues; new or gently used toys, games or books; snack sized treats or snacks; playdoh, stickers, markers, crayons. Thanks for your support, and we hope to see you there!
  • Personal Projects are due to supervisors on Friday, February 7. We’re very excited to see the great projects that our 10th grade students have created. You’ll be able to see them all at our IB/Fine Arts Expo, which will be held from 6:30 - 8 p.m. on Thursday, April 30. The evening will also feature exhibits from our IB Art students, IB Full Diploma students and our Performing Arts groups.
